Montefiascone, Erasmus: two teachers from the “Anna Molinaro” Comprehensive Institute in Spain, another step forward in the internationalization process

ERASMUS + KA2 ACTION PROGRAM “INNOVATION = MOTIVATION: how to be a smart student with a creative mind”

In the days between 17 and 21 February the “Anna Molinaro” Comprehensive Institute of Montefiascone (Vt) implemented, through the mobility in Spain of two of its teachers, another step forward in the process of internationalization and openness to new technologies in the processes teaching / learning.
The “Santa Maria la Blanca” Kindergarten and Primary School Educational Center in Barcience, near Toledo, as coordinator of the international project “INNOVATION = MOTIVATION”, co-funded by the Erasmus + Program of the European Union, welcomed ten teachers as well as from Italy, also from Poland, Greece and Slovenia, to share the good practices experimented in their schools and assist in their implementation in the various classes of the Spanish College, in a mutual process of training and implementation of the quality of the training offer.
The aim of the project is to support the motivation to learn through the use of innovative practices related to information and communication technologies, as a stimulating and creative methodology for the acquisition of skills and competences, thus preventing and removing for years to come, the risk of early school leaving.
The Spanish teachers and pupils, with the Director Javier Valle Rey, have reserved a warm and lively welcome to the teachers on the move, with an exciting welcome ceremony that celebrated the meeting between cultures and the exchange of experiences that arises from the creation of partnership networks. The construction of an open and multicultural identity, the promotion of a European citizenship is in fact an experience of awareness and concreteness which also passes through the sharing of reciprocal, different traditions and cultures, such as the magnificent flamenco show and school lunch with many, tasty typical Castilian and Spanish dishes, made by teachers. The rich program, after training in school, also included: the exploration of some places symbol of nearby Toledo, where architecture itself celebrates the encounter between Christian, Islamic and Jewish cultures in monasteries, mosques and synagogues; a visit to Madrid, with its large squares and monumental buildings; the naturalistic excursion to the cliffs of Burjion, a spectacular landscape created by the flow of the Tagus.
This fifth mobility of the teachers of the partner schools will be followed in May by the last training opportunity for this project, with the participation this time also of the students, in Montefiascone, in the Istituto Comprensivo A. Molinaro, which is in turn preparing a stimulant training program and exchange of good practices, and full immersion in the architectural and natural beauty of Tuscia and its surroundings. For a new vision of education that can support the idea of school as a platform, a network of culture, where students can develop skills, the so-called life skills, and activate lifelong learning, the long life learning precisely, in all contexts of life, formal and non-formal.
